Just by becoming a member of CHS, you support us in many important ways! All CHS members receive our quarterly newsletter, learning more about the history of Cotati and how their dues are helping research, outreach, and museum exhibits and activities. Members also have access to our various events.

Donations & Memorials
Cotati Historical Society depends upon the generosity of its members and the community to fund its operations. Donations are to the general Operating Fund unless a specific project or fund is designated.

Artifact Donation
We welcome donations of any materials related to Cotati History, including businesses, families, festivals, and celebrations, fraternal and social organizations, political and governmental documents and photographs. Let us know that you have a potential donation and a representative from the Cotati Historical Society will contact you regarding our collections policy and current needs, and to evaluate any materials. Due to limited space and the cost of long-term preservation, all materials offered for donation will be evaluated prior to accession into the collection.
Volunteer Opportunities
We are looking for people of all ages to volunteer.
Volunteer docents greet our guests and assist them in getting the most out of their visit by sharing information on the collections. Other volunteers maintain the artifacts, exhibits, and archive collection of photos, newspapers, books, and handbills that have been given to CHS for future generations to enjoy.
If your skills are in advertising, publicity, or promotion, you could help promote CHS. CHS is also looking for volunteers to help raise funds, to recruit new members, and to talk with potential sponsors and donors for our various activities.
